The start of a new school year brings a fresh start for all of the Henry Ford College sports teams. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect from each squad during their respective seasons.

Volleyball

“It’s Beautiful to be Belgium” boasts the Cadieux Cafe in Detroit, a cultural hub of rich history and tradition, famous to the locals.

Dan Cameron, a 2015 HFC graduate, was the starting catcher for the Hawks baseball team and is now headed to Australia to play for the Crain Cats, a minor league team in the Australian Baseball League.

Henry Ford College is home to six varsity sports with the addition of Hawks Volleyball this past fall. Here are some highlights from the past year.

The Hawks baseball season is just around the corner and the team is looking to build on last season’s 14-12 record.

Las Vegas was awarded an NHL expansion team and will begin playing in the 2017-18 season. The team will be called the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Henry Ford College Hawks men’s basketball team started off 0-4 but has since turned things around and is now 6-10. That record, with nine games remaining, is already better than last season’s 3-22 mark.

Henry Ford College is home to a lot of great athletes, and Diangelo Carlton is one of the top athletes on the Hawks roster this year.

The HFC Men’s Basketball season has begun. This year’s roster has a lot of new, young faces ready to take the reins.

The Hawks wrestling team hopes to become a full-fledged intercollegiate team next year. HFC wrestling coach Grant Mackenzie explained that the budget wasn’t available this year to become an intercollegiate team.
