The Detroit Historical Museum is hosting an exhibit titled, “Chasing Dreams: Baseball & Becoming American,” sponsored in part by the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan and the National Museum of American Jewish History.

You would think that after losing a state champion golfer to graduation that the Henry Ford College golf team would be on the decline, but that is not quite true for this year’s Hawks team.

That’s right, the eight-team international hockey tournament is back for the first time since 2004. This will be the third tournament of its kind, with the first happening in 1996.

In the fifth round in the 2016 MLB draft the Texas Rangers took 6’5 left handed pitcher and Henry Ford College student Kyle Roberts. Roberts has been considered a hard thrower topping out this past year at 97 MPH.

In 1982 Mike and Marian Ilitch bought the struggling Detroit Red Wings for $8 million, which at the time were nicknamed the “Dead Wings” due to the poor performances and lack of playoff appearances.

The Henry Ford baseball team was finally able to hold their home opener on Thursday, April 14. They brought in Macomb Community College for a double-header at Papp Park in Taylor, MI.
