Located at 2040 South Telegraph Road in Dearborn, just south of Michigan Avenue, Shamrock Automotive has been my trusted destination for full-service auto repair since I moved to the area in 2021. Originally recommended by a friend, it quickly became clear that I wouldn’t want to take my car anywhere else.

A family owned full service repair shop, Shamrock embodies the best of a local business—approachable, personable, and above all, honest and reliable. Their team consistently delivers high-quality service, which has earned my confidence time and again.

Each July, in conjunction with the Telegraph Dream Cruise, Shamrock Automotive hosts its annual Customer Appreciation BBQ Party. This past summer marked their 20th celebration, where customers like myself were invited to tour the garage, view an incredible display of classic and modern cars, and enjoy plenty of food and refreshments. The event highlighted not only the shop’s technical expertise but also its strong connection to the community.

One of the standout moments for me was meeting Jacob, a fellow customer who had purchased an original Delorean—yes, the very same model made famous in Back to the Future—with just 326 original miles. Hearing about the meticulous work he put into restoring and maintaining it was impressive, and seeing such a pristine piece of automotive history up close left me in awe. I couldn’t resist blurting out, “Great Scott! What a sweet ride!”—a cheesy but heartfelt nod to the film. Beyond Jacob’s DeLorean, the event featured many other stunning vehicles that truly took my breath away.

When it comes to service, I personally work with Michelle, the shop manager, whose kindness and straightforward approach make every visit seamless. Scotty and his wife, the owners, are equally welcoming and happy to share the shop’s history with anyone who asks. The entire team of ASE Certified Mechanics embodies professionalism, friendliness, and integrity—all qualities that are paramount when choosing a repair shop.
