‘Tis the season for television’s biggest networks, FOX, NBC, and ABC, to start spewing out new shows that may or may not get picked up for a second season. But the question is, which of them are worth the watch?

From the creators of Glee and American Horror Story comes Scream Queens, which follows a college sorority that is under attack by a terrifying serial killer. Somehow, the show is the perfect combination of Glee’s humor and the gore of American Horror Story. It’s also incredibly entertaining. The show’s cast has created a lot of buzz as it is filled with many big names including Emma Roberts, Nick Jonas, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ariana Grande. Before its pilot even aired the show had already been confirmed for a second season, so don’t worry about getting attached only to be left hanging with one single season. Scream Queens airs on FOX Tuesdays at 9.

Also new on FOX, Grandfathered brings John Stamos back into sitcom relevancy as a character who is essentially the older version of an early Full House’s Uncle Jesse. On the show, glamorous and notorious bachelor Jimmy Martino (John Stamos) finds out that he is not only a father, but a grandfather. His son Gerald (Josh Peck) is so awkward that he can’t even get the mother of his child to like him and Jimmy is challenged with teaching his son how to be charming. Viewers watch Jimmy’s struggle, sprinkled with occasional heartwarming moments, to adjust to family life and it’s actually kind of funny. You can catch Grandfathered at 8.

Another of FOX’s latest efforts, The Grinder takes a look into a family of lawyers and an actor who plays one on television. Dean Sanderson, played by Rob Lowe, takes a break from Hollywood to go back to his roots and visit his brother Stewart, played by Fred Savage. All logic is completely ignored when Dean opens his famous mouth about legal matters that he really doesn’t know anything about. Unfortunately, it appears that the writers started to run out of ideas by only the second episode. The Grinder is on FOX at 8:30, if you’d like to try it for yourself.

Neil Patrick Harris has been a successful host for multiple award shows and thanks to NBC, he’s now the host of his own variety show, Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris. The show is as zany as any variety show and is packed with crazy stunts that, donning his signature suit, NPH performs with his celebrity friends. The show is live and must be exhausting for its cast, but Harris is a true entertainer and doesn’t seem to get tired at all. Tuesday nights are certainly never boring when you can watch him run around. Best Time Ever is live on NBC at 8.

If The Office and Saturday Night Live had a baby that consisted of various animal puppets, you would have ABC’s The Muppets. The concept of a show about characters that are mostly associated with children might be off-putting to adults, but it’s not a kid’s show. The Muppets are often visited by various celebrities throughout each episode, much in the same manner as their past couple major motion pictures. It’s surprisingly both fun and entertaining to watch.
