A world-renowned investigative writer and public speaker will present what is known as "Britain's Best UFO Case" at Henry Ford Community College.

Peter Robbins, who has more than 25 years of experience as a researcher and activist regarding the study of UFOs, will be discussing England's Rendlesham Forest UFO Incident on Saturday, September 18 in the Andrew Mazzara Conference Center at 7:30 p.m., doors at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door, and ticket prices range from $8.00 for HFCC Students (ID required) to $10.00 for the general public. The event is sponsored by WHFR (whfr.fm), HFCC’s on-campus radio station, and Michigan MUFON, Inc.

Robbins has lectured extensively on numerous UFO-related topics, both here and abroad, including dozens of talks throughout the United Kingdom. These particular lectures have included local, national, and international conferences, as well as presentations for a variety of public service groups, seminars, public and private secondary schools, universities, businesses, libraries, scientific organizations, and educational foundations.

Robbins’ visit to the HFCC campus will feature details about Rendlesham Forest where, on three successive nights in late December 1980, England’s rural Suffolk was the setting for the country’s most significant and best documented UFO incident. The true nature of these events was suppressed from the start under the American National Security Act of 1947 and Her Majesty’s Official Secrets Act, and the story was soon relegated to the realm of folklore. There it remained until October 1983, when the story literally exploded in the British press. The incident has remained in the public eye ever since.

Robbins welcomes followers and skeptics alike to attend the event. “This presentation is not for the believer, but for the skeptic,” Robbins said. “Here is a chance to see the evidence for themselves.

“Although most UFO sightings can be explained in conventional terms, it only takes one credible and unexplainable event, and then the skeptic's case for their 'non-existence' goes right out the window.”
