HFC Science Division to Unveil New Mural

Our science division staff has been hard at work; with all they have on their plates, they are passionately dedicated to displaying one of the most well thought out time lines on the walls that connect the planetarium and the new science building. The idea was brought up to the science division by Mrs. Linda Brandt and Ms. Carla Serfas, and will be painted by HFC’s very own lab technician Ms. Kristy Ward.

The staff aims to shed light on happenings that are not usually thought about on a daily basis. The members of the staff are each expected to provide a list of ten historical moments in time. This time line will showcase the good that went on throughout war and sorrow filled periods of our history; its ambitions are to illuminate the state of life before unity. The science mural will illustrate how some people and events have changed things eternally.

The mural will concentrate on events in history ranging from the geopolitical and scientific changes, to the cultural changes of the world. With only 1/6 of this time line completed, the response from Henry Ford students is already promising. It will no doubt be an impactful addition to the halls of HFC.

After the frieze is completed it will be covered by Plexiglas. The science division would like to give a special thanks to our very own facility workers for openly providing the Plexiglas. It is fair to say we can all except to see more work by spring break.
