The HFC Scholarship Guide

For HFC students, many of them know college isn’t cheap. With the cost of tuition, classes, books, and fees, a student can end up paying at least $1,000 a semester. While some students are able to receive pell grants, others may have to take out loans, which can result in cumulating debt. According to a 2012 study from the organization The Project on Student Debt, 62% of students graduate while still having to owe money.

To avoid having to pay for an education long after receiving their degree, students should look into applying for scholarships. Unlike loans, scholarships do not have to be paid back, therefore making them beneficial towards a student’s education. HFC offers plenty of scholarships, which are available to browse and apply for on hfcc.academicworks.com. Below are some of the scholarships students can apply for.
