Tis the Season of Basketball

Tis the season of Basketball, and the gifts of buckets.

This season has began rocky for our Women’s Basketball team. Having only six ladies eligible to play makes it challenging for the team to score high in the entire game. Even though they haven’t been able to achieve their team goals, the team are constantly improving.

Freshman, Allison Robinson(#15) of Northwestern High school, is sixth overall in the conference for rebounds. Also on the team ,after just the first two games leading in field goal percentage in the entire division is sophomore Richarda Gordon(#1) with a high of 85.7% shooting.

“I think as a team we will grow and succeed as the season continues,” Robinson stated with much confidence in her team. After this semester the girls will gain 4-5 more teammates which will help the team tremendously.

Freshman forward Josh Gunn (#32) stated that his team “Plays like Miami”. If you aren’t informed with the NBA, the Miami Heat has won back to back championships. Gunn finished the first game with two points six rebounds and three assists.
