The Henry Ford IMAX Theatre will soon have some competition as the Fairlane Mall will soon be sporting an IMAX theatre as well.
Fairlane Mall officials verified construction of the IMAX, but little information has been made available. General Managers for the center also confirmed that the theatre was expected to have an opening within the next couple weeks, but was put on hold due to construction delays.
Officials were also able to confirm that the theatre will feature Digital IMAX, and will have greater access to the growing number of movies switching from traditional film to digital.
