Let the Show Begin!

Attention theatre enthusiasts and students alike! It’s that time of year again as the HFCC theatre program returns with another production. This semester will feature our actors and crew members exploring the fantasy realm of “Bridge to Terabithia” created by Stephanie Tolan and Katherine Paterson and based on Paterson’s novel, “Bridge to Terabithia.” The Story follows eleven-year-old Jess Aarons, an insecure social outcast, who forms an unlikely friendship with Leslie Burke, a new student at his school, and together they create an imaginary land in which the pair escapes from all the tribulations of their lives. Directed by Karen Brehmer, auditions are set to take place on August 28 and 30 from 7-10 p.m. in the Adray Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center.
Casting calls for approximately thirteen speaking roles (5 male, 8 female), a production staff of six members, and an unspecified number of extras. All actors and crew members must be registered for a minimum of 3 theatre production credits. Public performances occur on November. 9, 10, 16, 17, and 30 at 7:00 p.m. and December 1 at 2:00 p.m. School performances take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the week of Nov. 12-16 and 26-30 at 10:00 a.m. If you have any questions or require additional information regarding the production, please contact either Karen Brehmer at klbrehmer@hfcc.edu or Gerry Dzuiblinski in room F-145 or at gadzuiblinski@hfcc.edu.
