Globefest Set for April 11

HFCC’s 2012 Globefest event will take place Wednesday, April 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student & Culinary Arts Center, located on the main campus.
Sponsored by the Council of World Cultures, Globefest is a cultural celebration featuring delicious ethnic cuisine, energizing entertainment and enlightening information about each country represented.
The 2012 Globefest is coordinated by the following HFCC student clubs: the African American Association, Students on the Business World, the Baking Club, Phi Theta Kappa, the Ice Carving Club, the Lebanese American Heritage Club and the Film Club. Each club will represent the countries of Nigeria, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Lebanon and Japan at the event.
Globefest is free and open to the public. However, there is a cost for the food, which is $1 per ticket for one food station or seven tickets for $5. There will be seven different food stations available for sampling. All proceeds will benefit the HFCC International Student Scholarship.
