Student Editor of The Mirror News

Primary Responsibility:
The Editor of The Mirror News shall be responsible for the production of the student newspaper and the direction of those responsible for the news, editorials, design, and business aspects of the newspaper.

Qualifications:
Minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average at HFCC or previous high school and/or collegiate program. It is preferred that the applicant have previous experience on a newspaper staff (high school, college, and/or community newspapers). Register and complete a minimum of six credit hours per semester at HFCC.

Editor cannot maintain concurrent position in Student Council. Applicant must have knowledge of PageMaker Desktop publishing, Microsoft Word, and InDesign.

A. A letter of application stating your interest in the position,
including information on credentials and computer background.
B. Writing samples, layout editor work, etc.
C. A resume.
D. A copy of your transcript, verifying cumulative grade point average.
