Fourth Annual Religion, Conflict and Peace International Conference

Henry Ford Community College, in conjunction with Common Bond Institute, Parashakthi Temple, People’s Peace Fund and the International Humanistic Psychology Association, presents the 4th Annual International Conference on Religion, Conflict and Peace titled “Walking the Talk to Compassion and Harmony.”
This conference takes place March 23-25, 2012, in the Andrew A Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) on the main campus of HFCC. The program times for this conference are as follows:

Friday March 23 and Saturday March 24: Sessions begin at 10 a.m. and go to 6 p.m. Dinner is 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Evening events take place after dinner from 7:30-9 p.m.      

Programming for Sunday, March 25: Sessions begin at 10 a.m. and go to 2:30 p.m., followed by networking lunch from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

The purpose of this conference is to help promote inter-religious and intra-religious dialogue to explore the challenges of social paranoia, intolerance, negative stereotyping, scapegoating, racism, hate crimes, Islamophobia, and its effects on all communities.
