5010 Restaurant Now Open

Henry Ford Community College’s premier Culinary Arts restaurant Fifty-One O One opened Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 11:15 a.m. with an exceptional line up of gourmet menu items that will tempt even the most discerning palettes!

Time for the SE Michigan community to come to Henry Ford Community College’s (HFCC) Fifty-One O One Restaurant and break some bread!

The restaurant opened to the public Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 11:15 a.m. and offers a mouth-watering line up of menu items at some of the lowest prices available for a gourmet meal in SE Michigan. In addition, the restaurant now offers evening seating on Thursday night starting at 6 p.m.

Cathi Duling, an instructional technician for the Hospitality Dept. at HFCC, said that the program is fortunate to have a great many students who exhibit a wealth of culinary talent, as well as those who show great promise and those who are working hard to become exceptional culinary professionals.

“Many of our graduates have moved on following their academic and hands-on preparation to work in the kitchens of casinos and major hotels in the area, and are doing remarkable,” she explained.

Duling also noted that because students prepare the meals, it makes for a compelling dining experience. Most importantly, the restaurant is able to offer a variety of different cuisine at very reasonable prices.

The restaurant is 37-years-old and is a well-established venue for those seeking an exceptional meal prepared by some of the best up-and-coming chefs. To make reservations, please call 313.206.5101. For more information, please visit http://5101.hfcc.edu/.
